Judging Criteria
The Central Utah Science & Engineering Fair committee would like to invite you
to be a category judge at our science fair. Category judges are needed for each of
the elementary competitions and for the secondary competition. Elementary and junior division judges need
a strong science background. It is preferred that judges in the senior division (grades 9-12)
have a Master's degree, PhD or equivalent work experience in their respective field.
The time commitment for a category judge will be approximately 3 hours for the
elementary competitions on March 24 or March 25 or 4 hours for the secondary competition
on March 26, 2009.
The opportunity for our students to discuss their findings with established members
of the scientific community is a highlight of their science fair experience and
contributes to the overall educational experience of the competition. Thank you for
your participation!
