Monetary Donations

Monetary donations include donations to our operating budget, scholarships, cash award donations to students, and/or fully underwriting any of the science fair budget expenses. Budget expenses include, but are not limited to, cash awards, trophies, venue expenses and equipment rental, publicity, and an all expense paid trip for up to 15 students in the senior division to compete at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind contributions include donations given in the form of gift certificates, coupons, prizes for students or teachers, printing expenses, and/or volunteer hours. Donations of coupons or two-for-one passes are needed for 900 students.

Volunteer & Mentor Opportunities

Category judges are needed for each of the elementary competitions and for the secondary competition. Elementary and junior division judges need a strong science background and we prefer that judges in the senior division have a Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent work experience in their field. The time commitment for a category judge will be approximately 3 hours for the elementary competitions on March 19 or March 20, 2013 or 4 hours for the secondary competition on March 21, 2013. For more information please refer to the judges' page. Mentors are also needed to advise and assist students as they research their ideas and carry out their experiments. If you are interested in volunteering as a judge or a student mentor please contact us at 801-422-1987.
